Journalist, composer and photographer.<\/p>\n

A cartoonist, at the age of 17 he published his first cartoons in the TA NEA and TO PONTIKI newspapers. He got involved with photography at the time he was a cover photo editor\/researcher for the OIKONOMIKOS TACHYDROMOS financial magazine. His digitised archive published by FLIPPRESS publications includes news topics, products, special photo shoots, places in Athens, travel, etc. Has participated in 2 group photo exhibitions.<\/em>\u2028<\/em>He serves as Secretary General in the BoD of the Hellenic Union of Magazine and Electronic Press Journalists (ESPIT). Has issued six books with philosophical texts, cartoons and research, as well as music albums.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Born in Pyrgos Ipatis in Fthiotida.<\/p>\n

1953:<\/strong> Meets with some sports photojournalists and borrows a new photo camera to cover football matches<\/p>\n

1961: <\/strong>Chooses to work on political photojournalism; he covers George Papandreou\u2019s “uncompromising” fight and in 1963 he works with the United Press International (UPI) international agency.<\/p>\n

January 1966:<\/strong> His first world exclusive was the photo coverage of an airplane crash on Mount Helmos. This international success lead to a proposal for permanent cooperation with the newspapers \u03a4\u0391 \u039d\u0395\u0391, TO VIMA, and OMADA, as well as the TACHYDROMOS magazine.<\/p>\n

May 1967: <\/strong>Arrested by the junta, accused of attending protests. Got away with it claiming he was just covering the events as a photojournalist.<\/p>\n

1972: <\/strong>Co-founder of the “Team Photo Press” agency.<\/p>\n

1973 – Athens Polytechnic uprising<\/strong> Along with his colleagues, he photographed the students’ mobilizations.<\/p>\n

1974<\/strong>: Upon the return of Andreas Papandreou he became his official photographer.<\/p>\n

1976: <\/strong>Became the owner of a Greek and foreign press photo agency (“Free Photo Press”).<\/p>\n

1996:<\/strong> Retired from the profession.<\/p>\n

– A member of the Hellenic Photojournalists Association, he has served for many years as Chairman and General Secretary; also a member of the Panhellenic Sports Journalists Association (PSAT).<\/p>\n

Served for years as a Chairman of the Cultural Association of Pyrgiots in Ypati, now an honorary chairman.
