Born in Pyrgos Ipatis in Fthiotida.
1953: Meets with some sports photojournalists and borrows a new photo camera to cover football matches
1961: Chooses to work on political photojournalism; he covers George Papandreou’s “uncompromising” fight and in 1963 he works with the United Press International (UPI) international agency.
January 1966: His first world exclusive was the photo coverage of an airplane crash on Mount Helmos. This international success lead to a proposal for permanent cooperation with the newspapers ΤΑ ΝΕΑ, TO VIMA, and OMADA, as well as the TACHYDROMOS magazine.
May 1967: Arrested by the junta, accused of attending protests. Got away with it claiming he was just covering the events as a photojournalist.
1972: Co-founder of the “Team Photo Press” agency.
1973 – Athens Polytechnic uprising Along with his colleagues, he photographed the students’ mobilizations.
1974: Upon the return of Andreas Papandreou he became his official photographer.
1976: Became the owner of a Greek and foreign press photo agency (“Free Photo Press”).
1996: Retired from the profession.
– A member of the Hellenic Photojournalists Association, he has served for many years as Chairman and General Secretary; also a member of the Panhellenic Sports Journalists Association (PSAT).
Served for years as a Chairman of the Cultural Association of Pyrgiots in Ypati, now an honorary chairman.
